Dr. Rob Van Nuland grew up in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. He played provincial level Volleyball, representing Nova Scotia at the Canada Games, and also played competitive soccer, basketball, and track & field. In 2015-2016, Rob had endured multiple concussions which greatly affected his well-being for years. His experience with a team of Chiropractors helped him regain his quality of life, and eventually led him to change careers and pursue an education in Chiropractic.
Dr. Van Nuland received his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) with Summa Cum Laude honours and was awarded the Walter Sturdy Memorial Scholarship for achieving the highest overall academic standing in his class during the four-year program (Class of 2024). While at CMCC, Rob received other awards including the Glen Amaolo Memorial Award; awarded to the top male and female student who demonstrated high proficiency in manual technique.
Dr. Van Nuland’s diversified practice is patient-centered and evidence-based consisting of spinal manipulation therapy, acupuncture/dry needling, exercise rehabilitation, concussion management, instrument assisted therapy, manual release therapy, patient education and more! His goal with each patient is to solve the underlying cause of the symptoms in a holistic approach and enjoys collaborating with other team members for optimal patient success. He treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions including back pain, neck pain, joint pain, tendinopathies, sprains & strains of the extremities, concussions, and more. Dr. Van Nuland continues to pursue further education at the Carrick Institute and has begun training in Concussion Care, Chronic Pain, and Clinical Neuroscience with aims to help Atlantic Canadians suffering with persistent post-concussive symptoms.
Dr. Van Nuland is a certified acupuncture provider and a member of the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors and the Canadian Chiropractic Association. In his spare time Rob enjoys the gym, getting outside, hiking with this dog, golfing, connecting with his community, and playing indoor & beach volleyball!
