Kara grew up in Belleville, ON as an active child taking interest in a variety of sports, particularly basketball. Later on in life, while pursuing a degree in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph, she sustained an injury playing varsity Basketball. This injury led her to Osteopathy and she was mesmerized by its approach to healing.
After university Kara worked as a Kinesiologist and Strength and Conditioning Coach, but couldn’t help feeling that there had to be something more she could be doing for her clients. Therefore, in 2016 Kara enrolled in a Masters in Practice Diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (M.OMSc) from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, ON. She graduated in 2020 and has been practicing ever since.
Kara feels excited and grateful to be able to offer Osteopathic care to a variety of patients in the Halifax Regional Municipality. In her spare time, you can find Kara outside exploring the trails with her partner Brock, and their two dogs Ash and Kali.
Kara is a professional member in good standing with the Nova Scotia Association of Osteopaths (NSAO), Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN) and with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (CKO).
